If you've never worked with Noro yarn, you may want to give it a try in the new year. It's expensive, but the beautiful, self-striping colors create very special pieces. This book is loaded with designs for clothing and accessories, using various weights. And if you're not ready to invest in Noro yarns, use some of the self-striping yarns from Lion Brand or Hobby Lobby's "Yarn Bee" line.

THE CORPSE OF ST.JAMES'S by Jeanne M. Dams
Dorothy Martin and her husband, retired Chief Constable Alan Nesbitt, had just left Buckingham Palace following a ceremony honoring a friend for the George Cross. Jonathan Quinn, was injured in the line of duty saving a child from a fire. The three of them are walking in St. James Park when they discovered the body of a young girl.
Dorothy and her husband and Quinn try to find out who murdered this girl. Complicating the matter is Quinn knows the victim and he soon is the main suspect in her murder.
This is the 12th book of this series. The author is a resident of South Bend, Indiana. She also has another series that takes place in South Bend. The main character is a Swedish immigrant who works at the Studebaker Mansion in the late 1800's to the early 1900's.
Both of these series are cosy mysteries and are fun read.
