We are pleased to offer those who suffer with chronic health problems, caregivers, or relatives, an opportunity to learn: 1) techniques to deal with problems such as frustration, fatigue, pain and isolation; 2) appropriate exercise for maintaining and improving strength, flexibility, and endurance; 3) appropriate use of medications; 4) communicating effectively with family, friends, and health professionals; 5) nutritional advice; and 6) how to evaluate new treatments.
Build your confidence and ability to personally manage your health and maintain an active and fulfilling life. The Chronic Disease Self-Management Program is an interactive, mutual support workshop given two and a half hours, once a week, for six weeks. Those who took this program last fall commented, "It helped me greatly." and "Excellent Program!" It takes 10 committed people to launch this. Call 574-772-7323.
