Dining with Diabetes

This will be a Diabetic Education and Cooking School held Mondays, February 6, 8, 13 and 29 from  10:00 a.m. - 12 p.m. except Feb 8th is 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.at the Starke County Public Library, Main Branch.  These special classes are: > Targeted to persons with type 2 diabetes. > Create a healthy meal plan that works for you. > Information and motivations to help you adopt positive lifestyle changes. You will learn to: Cook with sweeteners, * Cook with less fat and sodium, * Cook dishes with fruits and vegetables. This is presented by Carolyn Hildebrandt and Pam Brooke from the Purdue Extension Starke County. Cost is $25 per person for materials and meals. $35 per couple, if sharing a book. Fee is due at registration by Jan. 31, 2012. If you haven’t signed up by, then you may not attend this class. Call 574-772-7323.
